I am delighted to see how nice the 3.2version works with digital pictures on my desktop computer. However the (exe)shows I have made there are not showing up correctly when I want to show them by CD on my lap top. At the lap top there are stripes at the bottom or at the top of some of the pictures. Very annoying. I have tried all kinds of combinations and set ups to prevent this, without success. Can anybody help?
The lap top should be up to date with: 1,6 pentium M, 1giga RAM, ATI Radeon mobile 9000 64MB, windows XP

Annoying stripes in exe show
Hello Paul,
try parameter -8 at the end of the command line call of your presentation xy.exe
This limits directX to version 8. The Radeon 9000 Driver seems to have a bug together with directx9.0b installed. I had exactly the same problem with my radeon 9000 64K
No more stripes with parameter -8 now
Hope that helps
Jochen

Thank you Jochen,
I would be very grateful if you could explain a bit more detailed as I dont understand how you do this. When I put a shortcult to the file at the desktop, right click it I get to a box called Target ( "The command line"?) , but when I try to write -8 after filename. exe the computer says this name is invalid and I cant do anything more.
I also tried to download the directX 8 version, but XP was didnt want to receive it.

Dear Paul,
there is no need to install DirectX 8.
To use the switch from a shortcut, you will have to add a Space character between "...exe" and "-8". (e.g. "Slideshow.exe -8")
To force m.objects itself to run in DX8 mode on your notebook, you should go to the Program Options and change the mode of the screen to "Use Direct3D8".
Best regards
Steffen Richter

Hi Mr Richer,
I am sorry, but I still can't get this thing working. I have made new exe files after adjusting the Program options, screen mode, to "use direct 3D8". The stripes are still there when I run it on my laptop. Next: I have tried to change the line at target on the shortcut properties: and windows tells me "the name.... specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct.
What have I missed?
