Problem with software and Rollei 300 P

Beitrag von scorpion »

Hi,

I am sorry, but my German is not good, so I have decided to use English :-)

I have decided to check mobjects for my sidle projections. I use mobjects ver. 5.0 in a freeware mode with Rollei 300 P and Rollei dual P projectors.
Recently, with my first show prepared in mobjects I have faced the following problems:

I prepare a show, then I connect my Rollei 300P slide projector to the computer (by usb). The software sees the projector, the projector is in PC mode.
I load my slide magazine without loading slides into the projector. How I can force mobjects to preload slides to the projector so they are ready for the show? Do I have to use some specific objects in the software? Please see below my show – maybe this will help to answer the question.

What’s more – if I press “Play” in mobjects then it starts to load the slides however only first one from A tray, and it does not load slides from B tray – it illuminates with no slides in the projector and then shows first slide from A tray and it happen again and again.

Probably I do something wrong. But what?

Another problem is the connection of the projector.
I prepared the first show without being connected to the projector. I did not even choose the slide projectors from the driver list. Then when I finished the show, I connected the projector, choose the right projector (300P) and try to insert the projector to the trays (see picture below). There was no problem with the tray A, but when I did it with the tray B, then the software collapsed and everything disappeared. Please note when I prepare the show with the connected projector and first insert projector and then make a show it does not happen.

How I can handle this issue?

I want to buy the software but first I have to be sure that it works properly with my projectors.

I will appreciate your answer.
Regards,
Lukasz

Hi Scorpion,
I think your problem can be solved easily. As to be seen in your second picture there is only one MSC Rollei tool on tray A. The driver for "links" (which means "left") You have to drag another MSC Rollei tool from your tool window to tray B. That is the driver for "rechts" (which means "right"). When done it should work.
An advice of Herr Richter: Always use the same USB-slot when connecting the Rollei-projector.

Cheers, Hans

Thanks.
However, I installed the newest version of mobjects and I was able to properly install my Rollei projector.
What's more, by accident I discovered how to preload slides to the projectors - you have to press "pause" in mobjects and slides (first two in my case) will be loaded into the projector.

However, I have another problem. I discoverd that properly show with two trays must be prepared as follow:
Tray A: slide Nb. 1
Tray B: slide Nb. 2
Tray A: slide Nb.3
Tray B: slide Nb. 4
etc.

As you can see on the first picture in my first message, my show is NOT built like this. And thus the projector does not show the slides in a proper way. Is there any way to change the numbers of particular slides without destroy the whole show?
In my case the second slide in tray A should be numbered as 3, the second slides in tray B - as 4, etc. Any suggestion how to do this?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
Lukasz

Hi Lukasz,
that sounds very good! You're on the right lane!
The Rollei is a bit tricky. To bring it to a perfect end, I have to load a Rollei-slide show myself, and do a bit of "spoil-around".
I will answer a bit later or tomorrow due to other tasks, alright?

Hi Hans, that would be great!
I have also found that I may delete tray B icon and insert tray A to the same line (second one). It changes the numbers in the way I want however the numbers are changed completely. For example:
Tray A.1: 1
Tray A.2: 17
Tray A.1: 18
Tray A.2: 19
etc.
This is still no perfect solution as the Rollei will jump from the position Nb. 1 in a slide magazine to position Nb. 17.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Lukasz,
please, try to think logically. You put only one tray into the projector. The first tray is A.1. Perhaps it contains 50 slides. That means: In mobjects you can create 25 objects in the upper, and 25 objects in the lower timeline.

After that you can create objects in tray B.1 or A.2 (It is possible to give them YOUR own names - right mouse-click on the "Magazin A.1" symbol shows you that you can create another "name"). M.objects suggests to call the second tray "B.1". You could also create a third one called "C.1". And each has 50 slides.
Perhaps you could name the first of your slide trays "Luk.1".
Thinking this way, there must be tray "Luk.1" on both timelines. Timeline A has the driver "MSC 300 links", Timeline B has the driver"MSC 300 rechts". (Did you click on the spanner-symbol (top, second right)?)
So there must be (Magazin)"Luk.1" on both timelines.

Because there are no thumbnails in your pictures above I guess you haven't digitalized your slides yet. Therefore they are still in their real position. Please, try again, I wish you good luck!

Hello Hans, thank you very much for help.

That logic :-). However I understand that the slides in upper and lower timeline should will have numbers. From 1 to 50. In the following way:
Upper timeline: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, etc.
Lower timeline: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, etc.

Please refer to my picture in the firs message. The numbers are diffrent and this is the problem of the show. Is there any way I can change the numbers to the right one?

Right now I know how to prepare a completely new show and what I have to be careful with. But how I can rescue my existing shows?

Lukasz

Hi Lukasz,
as I can see in your pictures, you can use the UNDO-Button 100 times to get back to that status when everything was O.K. (before you connected the Rollei).
I think it will be many clicks.

Then you click left-and-right mouse button to mark all objects to the right. Copy the lot by pressing ctrl-C. Then create a new show (ctrl-N) in the same project. Be sure the Rollei drivers are installed.
Then press ctrl-V and paste your copied show into the timeline. Automatically Tray A.1 will occur in both lines as well as your show with all the objects.
Or you better create a new show before you copy from your former show.

If this doesn't work I would rather see a picture of your timeline at the stage before your Rollei activities.
