Hello,
I have no problems integrating original 4K Video Prores 4.2.2 - 10 bit -60fs Footage, but on the other hand it is apparently impossible to create a master final production that uses the same quality codec settings at least in 10bit and if necessary at a lower frame rate. An uncompressed avi is not a solution given the huge file size.
Is there a solution?
Txs,
Patrick

Hello, Patrick,
please provide more information.
What versions of m.objects, os, cpu, gpu do you use?
What version of ProRES decoder/encoder is installed?
What did you already try to get your wanted quality?
Stephan

Hello Stefan,
In attachment a diagdx report and video report.
I use Mobjects v9 pro with GPU for rendering (output to a 4K monitor).
In between I encounter another Problem. Integrating a small trimmed scene standard mp4 - 4K - 8 bit - 29,97 fs results in a black screen while rendering in CPU or GPU (export to 4K mp4 29,97 fs cbr). Converting with other video settings idem dito (https://www.xmedia-recode.de/) such as vp9 or mpeg4 mp4 avc/h.264. Video
The ProRes codec comes integrated with the latest version of Veedub64.

Re: Video Prores 4.2.2 - 10 bit -60fs
Hello Stefan,
I 've been searching for days what could be the problem. I tried several types of 4K footage (ProRes at 60 fs or mp4 at 30 fs) in realtime without any problem, but I always get a black screen while trying to render in 4K (3840x2160). Once I lower the output resolution to less than 3840x2160 such as 3776x2124, everything works fine. Very weird. What could be the reason ?

Hello, Patrick,
thank you for the hardware informnation.
Regarding your question about quality.
It is difficult to answer as "quality" ia a very personal thing.
So all I can say is, that you have to use the settings m.objects offers to get the best possible quality.
If the mp4 (h264/264) settings doesn't match your needs, uncompressed AVI export and recoding with ffmpeg/XMediaRecode/HandBrake or else is the only way in the moment (afaik).
Regarding the black screen while exporting I can't help as this is something, that the m.objects-team must investigate.

Hello Stefan,
Thank you for the reply. At this moment I make export in avi with the lagarith codec https://lags.leetcode.net/codec.html before converting. But here also I encounter the problem of a black screen in 4K. Hopefully this problem can be resolved quickly.
Grts,
Patrick

Dear Patrick,
this is not a common problem or limitation within m.objects. Please call our hotline (10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., +49 251 97435314) while you are in front of the PC. Thank you.
Best regards

Hello Stefan,
In between the Problem is resolved. Apparently the settings of the GPU were disrupted. I have also installed a recent Nvidia driver version Studio (stable instead of the Game version) and apparently rendering beyond 4K is now working again.
Thanks,
Patrick
