I have made a number of exe shows that runs smoothly on my desk top computer, but when I run them on my lap top aprox every 10-15 dissolve is jerking. The lap top has 1,6 G centriono prosessor, 1Gig Ram, and a ATI Radeon 9000 mobile 64MB card. Is there a way to avoid this?
I hope somebody can help
best regards,
Paul

Dear Mr. Brenne!
There might be a background process like a virus scanner or some kind of monitoring / synchronization software running on your notebook with high priority. Please use the Task Manager and regard the property sheet "Processes", try to close suspect processes to find out if they cause the problem.
Please note that the Task Manager itself also is a process running with high priority and for this reason can affect the smoothness of playback. So you will have to close it before running a new test.
Also, you should make sure that you have the latest drivers for your ATI mobility Radeon installed. This should be supplied by your notebook's manufacturer. But oftenly the drivers available from there are not really up-to-date. If you do not find a driver with date Jan-2004 or newer, please eMail me.
Last but not least, you should have DirectX 9.0b or newer installed, as this offers slightly better playback performance than older versions.
Hope this will help!
Best regards
Steffen Richter
